The Golf, the Pigs and the T-shirt 29.5.08

Went to one of the many golf "courses" or drive ranges scattered across the Japanese landscape. From the outside, they look like tall unfinished buildings of some sort, with high pillars supporting a large net. This is what they look like inside!

You pay 1000 yen for about 100 balls and they pop up from this hole. You bring your own clubs and then just swing away.

Like these guys. The building had three floors, so quite a few local salarymen could practice their swing this lovely Tuesday evening. And if you can't get a slot, the next practice range (or uchi-panashi) is just 10 minutes away!

Went to a restaurant. Half-way into my dinner, I take a closer look at my surroundings... Let's just say I didn't feel like eating pork that evening.

One of the girls in my lab was wearing this fantastic t-shirt. She clearly has a good fashion sense, I mean, look at the brilliant design! The daring pose! The strong message she's communicating to the people of the world by wearing such an intelligent piece of garment.

It's from the popular t-shirt store Graniph. I have a couple of t-shirts from them too and they usually have some designs associated with some European country like the UK or Germany, but I was surprised to see Sweden!
